Located 74 miles northwest of Brasov, Sighisoara contains a classic hilltop citadel city, dominated by the 200 foot tall clock tower. While walking up cobble stone streets, through arches in ten foot thick walls, I kept exclaiming "I love this place!"

Three views of the clock tower. In the center photo, the building on the right at the far end of the street is said to be the birthplace of Prince Vlad Tepes, or Vlad Dracul, the basis for the fictional Count Dracula.
